🔴 Use This First

Checking dated inventory…

🍳 Quick start

⏳ Use these first

Sorted by earliest date. Dates are reminders, not automatic safety decisions.

Cooking deducts ingredients from inventory

🛒 Smart Shopping

Add items, check them off, or find what a recipe is missing. Checked purchases can be reviewed and added to inventory in one step.

📅 Ingredients for upcoming meals

Includes dinner and any extra freezer batches over the next 21 days. Review what you need, then add only the uncovered amount to your shopping list.

📦 Restock suggestions

Based on your par levels or recorded usage. Suggestions do not change your list until you choose Add. No automatic purchases.

Add to shopping list

Missing for a recipe

Compares matching inventory units. Shopping list quantities prevent duplicates but do not count as food on hand. No automatic unit conversions.

Your list

🧾 Add from a receipt

Paste or type receipt item lines, one per line, then review names, quantities and units before adding to inventory. Example: 2 milk or 3 | Tomato sauce | can. Receipt photos and automatic text recognition are a later feature.

📅 Meal Planner

Plan meals without deducting stock. Cooked It handles actual usage.

✨ Suggest meals from my stock

Saved recipes first, ranked by what you already have. No shopping list is created unless you choose to add missing items.

🛒 Shopping for planned meals

Combines ingredients for the displayed week, including extra freezer batches. The Shop tab also checks all upcoming meals over the next 21 days. Planned meals never deduct inventory.

⏱️ Weekly time-saving guide

Optional tips based on meals planned this week.

🏫 School & family lunch notes

Use + Plan to enter each child's school lunch, lunch with Grandma, or work lunch. Photo-to-menu reading and automatic lunch suggestions are planned for later.

❄️ Prepared Food

Homemade freezer meals, store-bought frozen meals, and refrigerated leftovers. Raw recipe ingredients are deducted only when you cook.

Freezer meals & leftovers

🍽️ After dinner

Cooked meals waiting for leftover details. You can finish them later, or mark that nothing remained.

🥪 Work lunch ideas

Refrigerated leftovers first, then individual freezer portions. Plan now; reduce stock when you actually pack or eat it.

Activity & backups

Undo the last change or save your test data.

Restoring replaces the current inventory and recipes.

Reset prototype

Plan a meal

An extra batch doubles recipe ingredients when you tap Cooked It for this plan, and automatically adds the freezer batch to Prepared Food.

Add prepared food

A photo is for your reference, not automatic portion estimation. Photos increase browser storage use; export a backup.

🍽️ Dinner's ready!

Ingredients have been deducted once. Leftover details can wait until after everyone eats.

Add grocery

When stock reaches the minimum, Smart Shopping can suggest replenishing to the preferred quantity. Leave blank for usage-based estimates once enough consumption is recorded.

Enter the date printed on the package. Dates are reminders, not automatic safety judgments; many best-by dates indicate quality rather than safety. Track different batches as separate items.

Replenish inventory

Review what you actually bought. Change quantities, match existing products, or create a new one. Nothing is added until you confirm.

Adjust inventory

This subtracts stock, logs the reason, and can be undone. At zero, the product moves to Out of Stock; recipes remain connected.
